We are currently seeking a Sustainability Strategy Project Manager to focus on sustainability strategy and reporting.
You will join our Project and Development Services team in the Central Region of the US (location flexible, preferred: Chicago IL, Dallas/Houston/Austin TX, Minneapolis MN, Indianapolis IN, Pittsburgh PA, Detroit MI, Cleveland OH).
As a Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for supporting the sustainability project management team to deliver challenging projects.
You will manage and deliver sustainability advisory services.
You will collect and prepare strategy and reporting documentation, track metrics, maintain schedules and budgets and deliver client updates.
Your interest in sustainability projects from start to finish will speak to your ability to support your team in delivering impactful results.
You are accountable, collaborative, a self-starter, and demonstrate enthusiasm for implementing innovative ideas in a team environment.
You are proactive and can think ahead to anticipate the needs of the team regarding market trends, data accuracy, research, and project management related technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the successful delivery of all activities related to achieving client sustainability goals.
Projects to include sustainability advisory services (ESG reporting frameworks including GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB, SBTi, strategic sustainability roadmap development, Net Zero consulting) for occupier and investor clients
Consistently demonstrate subject matter expertise on energy performance, embodied carbon, health and wellness, water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, materials selection, zero waste, policies and programs, and overall sustainability in the built environment.
Lead, manage, inspire, and collaborate with team members to develop the business case for investment, and manage the implementation of energy efficiency and environmentally responsible projects of all types (interiors, ground-up, existing, portfolio programs)
Provide leadership in sustainability consulting for clients across the JLL platform.
Represent JLL in local, regional, and national industry/public forums and with clients as a subject matter expert and representative of the firm.
Demonstrate passion for the business, ability to energize others, and the willingness to take risks and make tough decisions.
Quickly execute scope and proposal creation and other timely deliverables.
Act as a resource to advise client on available incentives for sustainable initiatives that can help offset initial capital costs.
Maintain, develop, source, and cultivate client relationships with property managers, developers, tenants, real estate investment managers.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Possess
5 years of relevant experience (related to commercial real estate, ESG, corporate sustainability, consulting, or similar)
LEED AP, WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador, CEM, LFA and/or other related credentials
Demonstrate
A strong balance of technical and interpersonal skills; an ability to interact with executive level external and internal client stakeholders and external team members in addition to the technical expertise
Drive, passion, and a positive attitude
Entrepreneurial spirit, agility, organization, problem-solving and strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of
Technologies for energy and sustainability initiatives
Portfolio and asset-level data management
Global/industry ESG trends and their application in commercial real estate including GRESB, GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB, SBTi
Processes and requirements for sustainability strategy and ESG framework reporting
Ability to
Multi-task, work both in a team and independently
Translate technical requirements
Develop the business case for ESG in real estate
Develop and cultivate business relationships with existing and prospective clients
Present new ideas for process improvement and follow through with execution
