Project Manager, Manufacturing Department

This is a Full-time position in BOISE, ID posted January 20, 2022.

The Supply Chain Department has an opening for a Project Manager –
– Manufacturing.

The Manufacturing Project Manager role will play a key role in supporting new and ongoing projects within the supply chain, through active management of projects and tasks, engagement with key partners and applying subject matter expertise to plan and execute on critical components of the Albertsons supply chain vision.

Responsibilities/Essential Job Duties for the Project Manager include, but are not limited to: * Support Manufacturing’s leadership team in defining, creating, and managing the long-term strategic vision, plans, and priorities * Work closely with the Manufacturing team on key strategic initiatives by participating in project meetings, performing risk assessments, coaching the team on the creation of project plans, ensuring project management standards are met, and helping communicate project health to stakeholders.

* Drive the Manufacturing teams’ adoption of project management best practices, including the proficient use of standardized tools, templates, technologies, and methodologies.

* Develop and present insightful analysis utilizing business analytics and data to develop points of view * Develop and lead regular review of strategic portfolio to identify and mitigate risk, solve problems and manage crises; act as information conduit for senior leadership team * Ability to interact and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization; able to influence others or gain acceptance in sensitive situations * Create dashboards to help the team easily analyze forecast accuracy, milestone status, KPI’s, risks, and project health.

* Oversees all reporting: special request, Ad hoc, and scheduled.

Education Level & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in related Business field or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree * Project Management Certification (PMP, PgMP, CAPM, etc.) Skills and Background: * 5+ years of Project Manager experience * 5+ years of experience working on large scale initiatives * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; equally skilled at communicating with technical and non-technical audiences; comfortable presenting and speaking to a variety of audiences including co-workers, senior level, and executive-level leaders.

* Demonstrated command of process, management, and finance in support of strategic projects and programs.

* Demonstrated ability working strategically and collaborating across departments.

* Well-organized, detail oriented, thriving in a fast-paced environment * Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple, dynamic priorities with strong sense of urgency; capable of delivering under pressure; the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meeting all deadlines and expectations.

* Strong planning, communication (both written and verbal), and time management skills * Substantial partnering and influencing skills with the ability to work with leaders at all levels to coordinate team efforts * Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking and problem solving skills * Proven ability to negotiate complex ideas into achievable results * Demonstrated ability to lead the development of a strong business case * Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen, and ability to identify and utilize metrics tied to project value * Strong attention to detail, process mapping and evaluation * Demonstrated ability to assess the interdependencies of work processes very quickly * Adaptable, flexible, well organized, and creative * Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and to work effectively within a matrix organization and project environment * Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal guidance while managing multiple tasks and projects * Strong sense of responsibility, independence, ownership and pride in delivering quality results, and understanding the business impacts * Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Visio.

* Understanding of lean and process improvement principles (i.e.

Lean Six Sigma).
