It Works! Project Manager
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute and manage Marketing projects. This position will have a strong emphasis on project management of non-technical initiatives as the initial focus of this position is not software development.
Responsibilities:
- Define/document project scope and deliverables in collaboration with Executives, Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to meet business initiatives.
- Create project framework in collaboration with the Business Unit Owner, Analyst and team members.
- Create/oversee creation of milestones, tasks and subtasks for each project.
- Create project schedule to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to Retention Business Unit team members, task owners and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Liaise with Retention Business Unit Owner and Stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor project milestones and tasks completion with Retention team members through Daily Standups, Planning Meetings and project meetings.
- Review Ideas and Projects submitted with the Business Unit Owner to determine if viable and prioritize accordingly.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 year University degree or college diploma required. Formal training or PMP certification valued, but not required
- 5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity on Marketing initiatives including all aspects of process development and execution
- Strong familiarity with Wrike and MS Office Suite of products
- Demonstrated experience in leading initiatives
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Flexible /during times of change
- Ability to quickly develop a thorough understanding of the day-to-day operation and capacity of a multitude of departments in the organization for optimal collaboration
- Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and other departments
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an environment with extremely short timelines is crucial
