Project Manager

System One

This is a Full-time position in Washington, DC posted September 18, 2021.

Primary Function

TeamPeople is seeking an experienced technical project manager to oversee a media asset management project from vendor award through implementation. You will be working with the vendor and in-house personnel to maximize resources and efficiencies.

Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage project with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
    • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
    • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
    • Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return on-investment standards.
    • Monitor costs against budget
    • Document information about MAM project and save documents, according to client requirements.
    • Present comprehensive reports and proper documentation
    • Attend meetings, take minutes and save Minutes, according to client requirements
    • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes

Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Expert level in Microsoft Products – especially EXCEL
  • Ability to support information security, identity management and entitlement provisioning projects
  • Competence with project management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate change management
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in broadcast media, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ Project Manager experience – PMP Preferred –
  • In place of PMP, certified ScrumMaster may apply
  • Minimum three years management experience in the IT field, including development work and interactions with customers
