Our Project Manager is responsible for contract oversight and project management to ensure cost, schedule and performance goals are achieved. The Project Manager must be able to plan, monitor, execute, control and close numerous simultaneous projects. This individual is accountable for various projects’ scope and resources. An ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of government contracts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Provide planning and direction required to meet the cost, schedule, and performance goals throughout the life-cycle of assigned projects. • Ensure a continuous line of open communication with appropriate stakeholders and organizational leadership to maintain a high level of program status awareness, provide timely recognition and resolution of problems, identify and coordinate follow-on activities, and support strategic planning processes. • Manage Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) milestones and schedule for customer program review sessions to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements. • Provide internal financial and resource forecasting, and conduct internal program review sessions to ensure program financial goals are achieved. • Assist in contract negotiations, execution, and contract administration. • Evaluate contractors’ past delivery performance to determine if contract options should be awarded, and to provide information for pre-award survey use. • Support budgeting, project and program planning, and maintain program information in the business enterprise. • Support project leads in the performance of program tasks, respond to administrative and programmatic calls, and provide administrative planning related to program events and day-to-day operations of assigned projects. • Provide support in administrative planning, record keeping, data entry, communications, inventory control, and program administration. Requirements Minimum 4 years’ relevant work experience with at least 2 years focused on project/program management. A degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience administering complex contracts including evaluating and monitoring contractor performance, preparing modifications, resolving problems, and closing contracts. Track record of successful cost and schedule performance management on programs, and ability to explain program financial and programmatic status to company executives. Innate accountability, bold risk-taking and demonstration of measurable achievement. Effectual interpersonal skills to include experience taking direction from, as well as leading, diverse teams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to include interpreting and organizing information to improve clarity. Ability to develop enduring external and internal customer relationships. Sound problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Awareness of Export Administration Regulations and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications; intermediate to expert-level proficiency in MS Project . Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and hold a Department of Defense Security Clearance. Work Environment and Physical Demands Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time; and work with, around and on projects involving a variety of materials. Safety awareness is absolutely essential at all times while in the work area. Work is performed Monday through Friday with ability to work overtime and weekends. Ability to travel. Must be able to work while wearing standard personal protective equipment, such as gloves and protective eyewear, and respiratory protection on occasion.
