PMO Manager
Inorganic growth is a strategic enabler of ZS’ 2025 vision which calls for doubling of the business and market leadership position in more areas of healthcare.
We are creating a corporate development function that will industrialize our ability to source, engage, value, transact and integrate minority investments and acquisitions.
This position will be a part of a large client delivery team and is an integral part of the firm’s strategy to (i) grow via acquisitions and inorganic investment and (ii) build scalability and improve efficiency of PMO processes.
This person will partner with the senior leadership Team to define approach towards processes like program planning & delivery, finances, contract management, quality management, etc.
and govern end to end client engagement.
This person will be the dedicated internal acquisition integration PMO leader when ZS is acquiring a company; the remainder of his/her time will be spent on client delivery
Responsibilities:
Program Or Operational Support Planning:
•Lead end to end planning and execution of all PMO functions for large business verticals with multiple projects and workstreams and spearhead various PMO related programs and Operational initiatives across ZS
• Provide leadership, mentoring and oversight to various projects and programs and help them setup robust PMO framework for effective delivery and execution
• Provide strategic direction and establish governance model for effective and efficient outcome
Execution:
• Provide thought leadership and expertise to establish, enhance and disseminate PMO capabilities, processes and procedures across projects
• Directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs
• Guide project managers and other PMOs to continuously seeks areas of opportunities to improve project management practices and add value to their teams
• Conducts weekly / periodic meetings with all PMOs and project leads
• Advise leadership and/or business executives at the highest levels about the project portfolio, status and resource planning for delivering strategic business Initiatives
• Manage PMO space or program budgets and resource allocations and ensure that the scope and budget are in control
• Ensures open communication within space and project team; ensures that project status, issues and successes are communicated and documented
• Responsible for conducting project review meetings with the PMO or project team and business review meetings with senior project and client leadership
Risk Management:
• Provide guidance to deploy risk management processes, proactively identify and highlight risks and develop appropriate contingency plans
• Proactive seek any business risks that could impact the overall health of the project or business vertical and work with project managers to mitigate those by helping them create and track robust mitigation plans
Team Management:
• Lead a team of PMOs across a key geographic location
• Responsible for mentoring PMO team and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives
Client Management:
• Advise client or program leadership at the highest levels about on adding value by incorporating best of the class practices, models, ideas
Build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with key client stakeholders
Qualifications:
• Graduate or post graduate with 10+ years of transaction support, project management, operational excellence and team management experience, in managing large PMO vertical and client accounts
• Strong knowledge of PMI / Agile project management standards and terminologies.
PMI/PMP or Agile certification desired
• Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools & reporting
• M&A integration experience is required, which includes familiarity with the M&A process steps, due diligence investigation, synergies estimation and realization, and integration execution around strategic objectives in a matrixed organization
• Experience in managing multiple projects at once and ensuring priority of issues and risks.
• Understands projects KPIs and SLAs and able to perform both preparation & analysis of KPIs
• Understands the prioritizes and able to escalates where necessary and prepare a risk mitigation plan
• Ability to work in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies
• Strong ability to influence and implement processes, excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership skills and self-motivation
ZS is a global consulting firm.
Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
