Job Mission

ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. ASML’s corporate headquarters is in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. The company has lithography research, development and manufacturing operations in Wilton, Connecticut and in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. Technology development centers and training and application facilities are located in Asia, Europe and the United States. The Manufacturing Operations in Wilton Connecticut is responsible for the production of lithography tools as well as purchasing and logistics. The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place within Manufacturing.

This position is based in EUV Manufacturing Group within the manufacturing sector in Wilton, Connecticut.

As a Manufacturing Project Coordinator, you are the driver of program-and project management within the Business Line and responsible for the development of the PMO department. Together with the Manufacturing Manager(s) you drive the project management process and oversee the complete product scope.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

This role is positioned as an independent team member of a manufacturing project team that is responsible for the development of our state-of-the-art lithography machines. Person is expected to deliver non-technical project support, planning and organization optimization, typically from initiation through delivery.

A Senior Project Coordinator:

  • Acts as a recognized business partner by enabling effective decisions making on all levels.
  • Initiates, participates or leads & implements the roll-out and embedding of project (program) standards and processes related to a.o. project planning, product generation process, effective decision making, reporting, change control, risk management and quality.
  • Responsible for the administration of Issue Resolution process (Internally known as AIR).
  • Responsible for the administration of new tooling acquisition in the factory.
  • Scopes, manages and implements improvement projects aligned with program needs in line with department vision.
  • Contributes to the development of the multi-year PMO Strategy, and actively driving the MFG mission and vision.
  • Pro-actively assists, enables and challenges all stakeholders.
  • Provides guidance during the financial forecasting (budget) process and proactively assist regular financial management and reporting.
  • Responsible for the administration of Issue Resolution process (Internally known as AIR).
  • Responsible for the administration of new tooling acquisition in the factory.
  • Builds and maintains enduring relationships with ASML senior (program and project) executives and act as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ on matters relating to Program and project management.
  • Manages a complex organizational environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Science) required or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Masters and Certifications (PMP, Lean, Scrum) a bonus.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in project or service delivery management. Experience within matrix organizations, technical environments, PMO and/or project management is a bonus.
  • Basic project management and process development knowledge.
  • Experienced with using applications Outlook, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communicator, being able to influence without hierarchical power, and creative in managing a large and diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Maintains personal effectiveness and people focus under pressure, high speed of change and uncertainty.
  • Ability to guide, coach and advise at all organizational levels to effect sustainable change and improving the project and process maturity level of the organization.
  • Team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong team leadership skills, decisiveness, setting priorities, giving direction, influencing without power.

Responsibilities:

  • May require travel dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Role within the Factory

Responsibilities:

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
  • Must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule – twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week.
  • This must include references to day and night shifts for accommodation purposes.
