PositionSummary:This position will manage the production of packaged product in a safe working environment with the responsibility of producing quality product according to schedule. The supervisor must maintain a working knowledge of production equipment operation and train, motivate, and hold accountable the employees under their supervision.Core Functions:Ensure all employees are properly trained on the safe operation of machinery they are assigned to operate. Responsible for meeting safety, productivity, quality, and schedule attainment goals.Responsible for scheduling employees and work assignments in the most efficient and effective way. Assist the Maintenance group by taking care of production assets and providing input on operation of the equipment.Provide input to the Production Scheduler to aid in the development of daily and weekly production schedules.Ensure consistent compliance with all Bunge work rules and establish production procedures including issuing disciplinary corrective action when necessary.Able to perform all jobs within their area of responsibility. Effectively communicate problems and needs of the employees with other supervisors and managers.Evaluate employee performance and recommend areas for development to prepare the employee for increased levels of responsibility. Ensure compliance to Safety regulations, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points and Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.Perform any additional tasks assigned by managementSkills/ExperienceRequirements:Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Three years’ experience in a supervisory position (food production experience preferred)Ability to manage personnel, time, and materials safely and efficiently Demonstrated ability in building relationships and leading others. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Exposure to SAP is preferred Strong verbal communication and organizational skills Knowledge of food safety, food security, pallet jack training, first aid/CPR, emergency first responders, lock-out/tag-out, ammonia training, and spill containment is a plus Shifts will vary based on production needs, to include overnight and some weekend shifts when necessaryBunge (NYSE: BG) is a world leader in sourcing, processing and supplying oilseed and grain products and ingredients.
