Production Department Supervisor

Job Responsibilities
As a Production Department Supervisor, in one of our Automated Assembly departments, you will be expected coordinate and monitor the work and activities of all shift personnel & processes to ensure everyone is working together to accomplish defined goals
Additional responsibilities for this position include:
  • Managing personnel, medical emergency, fire response, security and facility related problems
  • Investigating complaints, disturbances and violations and resolves problems following company policies
  • Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
  • Reviewing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering time constraints
  • Conferring with department managers, supervisors and/or team leaders to coordinate operations and activities within their department or between departments
  • Maintaining safe work environment by consistently enforcing all safety policies, guidelines and regulations
  • Preparing and submitting accident reports and transports non-critically injured personnel for treatment
  • Contacting local law enforcement using 911 when necessary
  • Limited and/or no US/International travel required

Job Requirements
To be successful in this type of position, we need team players who bring a positive attitude to the work place and enjoy being around and working with others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years of management and/or supervisory experience in a medium sized Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
Additional requirements for this position include:
  • Associates degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or a program closely relating to manufacturing management is preferred
  • Knowledge of business and organizational planning, coordination and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of HR related policies and practices
  • Understanding of the various ways performance can be improved in organizations and how to apply them
  • Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control and costs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Effective at gathering information through interviews and other probing methods
  • Coordination of activities and management of one’s time and the time of others to achieve daily goals
  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with individuals from other departments
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and to determine corrective action that is within your authority
  • The ability to bring conflicting parties together to form an agreeable solution
  • Can use computers, programs and their applications as needed
  • Finds it easy to adjust one’s behavior in order to deal effectively with other people
  • Can modify one’s approach in response to changing priorities or input/feedback of others
  • Able to adapt to an international company culture
  • Can work a 3rd shift schedule (Sunday thru Thursday from 11pm to 7am) plus weekend overtime
