Job Purpose
Modular Mining is seeking an experienced Product Regulatory & Compliance Manager to join our Hardware Engineering team in Tucson, Arizona. This position will play a critical role in managing the company’s global material product compliance program. In this role you will work with our international partners and regional distribution sites to ensure we meet all regulatory requirements, such as REACH, CE, and environmental requirements such as EPA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies and procedures for launching new products and maintaining existing products.
Work closely with development teams to assure adherence and sound understanding of relevant regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
Create and develop strategic compliance product plans and carry them out to completion.
Provide input to development teams on worldwide regulatory compliance requirements and standards.
Assure that all testing requirements are met, and appropriate certification testing is planned early in new product development.
Manage the Hardware Engineering Global Compliance Team to assure compliance strategies and procedures are followed correctly and efficiently.
Work with International partners to ensure we meet their country requirements. (North America, South America, EU, UK, Australasia)
Work closely with distributors, retailers, and agencies to register products for global sales.
Maintain regulatory compliance through continuous monitoring of global regulatory standards and trade policies.
Ensure proper review and approval of device labeling in compliance with regulations.
Register products/ components globally, assure proper country compliance, and ensure achievement of all testing and certification requirements necessary to conduct business globally.
Conduct or oversee all compliance related testing (performed internally and/ or by external partners) required to meet global certification requirements.
Required Skills
BA/BS degree with 8+ years or a Master’s with 5+ years of equivalent practical work experience
Transformational leadership style aimed at agility and growth of team members, including managing a regulatory compliance department.
Experience in global import/ export businesses desired e.g., mining equipment, automotive/ construction vehicle supplier, medical device industries, computer/ electronics supplier.
Experience with EMC and wireless certification, FAC, EAC, REACH, CE marking, and supply chain regulations
Working knowledge and a general understanding of logistics and the supply chain process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, judgement, creativity, and flexibility
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with both internal and external partners.
Effective time management and the ability to adapt to rapid change with efficiency and urgency.
Knowledge and ability to create strategic compliance project plans.
