The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

Enterprise Analytics and Data Science (EADS) is seeking an experienced  data and analytics professional responsible for leading cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute the design and implementation of a company-wide framework for analytics that will meet heightened standards for governance and risk management.The outcome will be to improve the enablement products available to analytics to support business decisions that impact business outcomes – wherever and whenever that analysis needs to occur, considering both traditional and emerging analytic methods and data environments. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Gather and represent analytic needs for stakeholders across the company, and transform those needs into an operating model for a distributed analytics function, with implementable guidelines and work efforts.
  • Prepare and present work product to stakeholders/management in a concise, convincing, and effective manner
  • Represent analytic & ATOM requirements as a Product Owner in Agile scrum setting for driving deliverables of the operating model
  • Articulate product vision, definition, goals, and direction for Agile teams to design/develop/ deliver technology and processes for ATOM Products such as a Path to Production for sustaining recurring analytics and a next generation analytic environment. 
  • Resources will drive use case requirements, backlog prioritization and ensure cross-functional dependencies are addressed
  • Accountable for evolving and extending the Enterprise Pipeline (EPL) capabilities to support recurring analytics.  Short term would be delivery of manual use case POC. 
  • Responsible for partnering with Architecture and Technology to define analytic personas, as well as prioritize analytic tools & capabilities enablement in the EPL backlog.

This role has a high level of exposure to analytics leadership across the Company as well as to partner organizations within and outside of Data Management & Insights (DMI). There is a significant opportunity to influence the future of analytics at Wells Fargo and gain exposure to some of the most innovative areas of analytics, technology and data management in the industry today.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience working effectively on analytic teams, and delivering on business needs, and partnering closely with technology
  • 3+ years’ experience building and applying analytics in the financial services domain
  • 3+ years’ experience with operationalizing analytic solutions and integrating them with production data sources
  • Experience working with analytic users’ needs, and design of analytic environments/ tools based on those needs
  • Experience with enterprise needs for software products such as security protocols, access control, architectural compatibility
  • Experience with evaluating new tools and technologies, interfacing with vendors to map product capabilities to needs
  • Familiarity and/or experience with Dev Ops/Data Ops, cloud analytics
