Procurement Supervisor

As the Procurement Supervisor, you will perform an integral part of the purchasing function in the achievement of operational objectives. You’ll take a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and procedures, making recommendations, and implementing changes while leading key categories forward in securing quality suppliers of materials and components (covering price, delivery and quality targets).  We want to leverage your skills and years of experience to drive positive results while ensuring a bright future for yourself and XPO.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Document and capture all scopes and required specifications
• Incorporate and implement any new systems which will improve the process
• Lead project management supporting the implementation of new contracts
• Collaborate with the buyers to ensure they are directing the sites correctly
• Travel to site locations when needed

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work or military experience
• 3 years of experience in a purchasing role
• Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Experience in direct supplier or commodity management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

It’d be great if you also have:

• 5 years of experience in a purchasing role
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• Modern procurement knowledge and purchasing techniques
