Procurement Manager – Remote

This is a Full-time position in Phoenix, AZ posted February 10, 2022.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for all aspects of procurement for multiple medium/large projects with moderate to high complexity.

Responsible for facilitating project requests through the procurement process and will act as the procurement partner for large dollar and/or complex projects.

Must demonstrate a strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by proactively communicating and taking ownership of risks/issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish, build, and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers
Provide support toward resolution of any grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues
Prepare and maintain supplier evaluation forms
Prepare statistical analysis of market trends for long range purchasing strategies
Provide management with forecasts of market conditions, price trends, and potential problem areas
Analyze and evaluate all elements of cost and all procurement transactions of assigned projects for maximum cost improvement
Estimate values according to knowledge of market price.

Determine method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid
Prepare bid requests (RFx).

Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
Author/facilitate strategic documents such as Project Charters, RFx, detailed project plans, and present project updates to business owners
Drive cross-functional teams to identify, prepare, and/or ensure completion of high quality, professional deliverables as required by each project plan.

Facilitate development of clear project scopes
Lead efforts to eliminate non-value added activities within project scope, increase quality and service, and reduce costs
Provide guidance and leadership to buyers.

Prioritize their project activities into manageable work efforts and determine an effective approach and timeline to completing the work
Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies
Monitor and report on project activities and reporting on status within published timelines
Follow corporate and divisional procurement guidelines and policies
Additional Duties as assigned by management
Regular Attendance is required

Education and Experience (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree required
7+ years’ experience in Procurement

Job Qualifications
– Skills (Required)
Advanced knowledge of procurement concepts, practices, and procedures required
Computer literate
– MS Office, ERP systems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Multi-task well and prioritize workload with limited supervision
Exercise multi-situational decision making
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of Supply Management, Tracking Budget Expenses, Vendor Relationships, Organization, Customer Service processes and systems.
Ability to read contracts, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Preferred
C.P.M.

and/or CPIM certification desirable
