The Primrose School of Cooper City is currently seeking an experienced Director for our private preschool. We are located at 8447 Sheridan Street, Cooper City, FL 33024. This position will ensure adherence to our mission of bringing the best and most trusted in early childhood education and child care services to families we serve. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, a problem solver, and possesses great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation.
The Primrose School of Cooper City is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides superior customer service to all external and internal customers, faculty members and vendors while maintaining an enjoyable culture.
- Implements the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit.
- Manage budgets/forecasts, licensing and marketing initiatives
- Knowledge of and adheres to employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws.
- Selects, hires, orientates, trains, and evaluates all staff in accordance with Primrose School of Cooper City and state licensing requirements and policies and procedures during our new staff training and school opening.
- Attend all school events, functions, open houses, monthly staff meetings etc.
- Keep school physically well kept, attractive, and safe while maintaining an enjoyable culture.
- Have all playgrounds and equipment checked on a regular basis for repairs and/or maintenance.
- Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other Leadership Team positions, teacher, Food Service Teacher, and Bus Driver.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or in related field.
- Minimum 5 years of Director experience in a licensed child care facility is a must
- Strong background in state and county licensing regulations, and staffing, to meet the director requirements of local child care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Cooper City training requirements, enrollment and budget management skills.
- Demonstrated highly-effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated responsibilities in overseeing all preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance and facility operations.
- A proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining staff.
- Strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community, faculty and vendors.
