Job summary:
This position is responsible for the selling, planning and coordinating of all aspects of private event and meeting functions held at the property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships Sell and market to external markets that may encompass corporate events/meetings/trainings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and personal milestone events; other may include holiday parties, celebrations of life, school athletic banquets, and fundraisers.
- Be an ambassador for the property, fostering relationships with individuals & corporations who book events to maintain repeatable and predictable business while prospecting for new events.
- Heighten awareness externally within the community from the club to bridal shows and other public events
- Responsible for being a positive role model in both social media formats and public forums by being active and showing consistent participation in all public facing opportunities
- Adaptable to fast-pasted, competitive individual and team, results driven environment, and results celebrated environment.
- Merge current industry trends both astheitcally and technologically for quality results.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Executive Chef when designing custom menus and the entire management team to communicate upcoming events.
- Responsible for generating a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals which meet and exceed sales goals and budgets
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- College degree preferred or 3 years of related experience in sales preferably in golf/hospitality/service industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of how to use social media to drive sales is required: Including Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc…
- Must have a positive, engaging, and team oriented view on the workplace.
- Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM
- Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills; ability to work with little or no direct supervision; conitnual improvement of ones self and systems
- Excellent customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction required
- Strong leadership and people skills, plus the ability to build and foster a team environment desired
- Valid driver’s license required
