Principal Consultant – Downstream Refinery, Retail – Oil & Gas

Responsibilities:
Lead projects for Oil & Gas Downstream (Supply / Terminal Management / Refinery Operations / Retail Operations) Oil & Gas implementations
Have client discussions regarding implementation and impact of best practices
Provide advisory services on design, implementation and deployment of custom and be-spoke product solutions in the business area
Use the in-depth knowledge of Supply / Terminal Management / Refinery Operations / Retail Operations tools (including third party) and emerging trends
Manage large projects, program and portfolio using a scaled Agile approach
Conduct As-Is/To-Be process workshops
Work across multiple levels and multi-cultural, remote teams
Maintain highly effective communication with client senior management
Respond to RFX from client and prospects and manage the sales process
Display a good understanding of creating commercial construct for a new opportunity
Share knowledge within and outside the Practice
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required.
Must have rich experience (at least 6 years) of working in the Oil & Gas Downstream areas such as Supply / Terminal Management / Refinery Operations / Retail Operations
Should have experience in applying advanced data and digital technologies for improving business value of Downstream companies
Must have experience in managing distributed team in Agile
Should be aware of setting up DevOps Teams and Tools
At least 10 years of industry work experience with 4 years of experience in comparable consulting services
Ability to travel 4 days a week to multiple local, state and national client locations.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience in managerial capacity in Oil & Gas Downstream business area in large enterprise environments
Should have worked on IT projects in Below-the-Rack Supply & Distribution, Refinery Operations, Forecourt & in-store sales, Pipeline, truck, rail & barge operations or
Experience in working with senior business stakeholders in designing solution options
Should have managed at least three large engagements in the related business area
Should have worked on at least one project which had an application of Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Machine Learning, Blockchain or Predictive Analytics
Understanding of and/or experience on common industry products and their implementation challenges and risks
Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
Ability to interact at all levels of clients’ organizations.
Proven track record in program/ project management
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and to build strong relationships with clients
This job may entail an extensive amount of travel.
The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
