President and General Manager

Schurz Communications is currently seeking a President and General Manager to lead a Broadband communications company based in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. The President/GM will lead and have overall responsibility for the areas of people management, finance, customer relationships, network management, marketing, and public/government relations- ensuring successful integration of all activities. This position is also responsible for locally leading a facilities-based service provider focused on the delivery of voice, internet and video products for both residential and business markets. Our ideal candidate has previous experience working in the broadband or telephone industry in a senior leadership position. Apply today for a chance to join the family Responsibilities Include: Lead all local employees including- hiring, coaching, counseling, development, creating positive teamwork and ensuring a rewarding work environment. Effectively manage business unit financial information including monthly detailed reporting and the preparation of an annual budget. Tactically manage finances through expenditure approval, inventory management and overall system cost control. Develop and oversee marketing tactics to grow embedded base business as well as expand opportunities. Promote a positive image of the company to local governments, customers, press, and the business community. Effectively balance employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and financial performance in delivering and supporting our products and services. Exhibit a hands-on, detailed oriented, management/leadership approach. You will need to have: Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred but not required 5 Years of progressive leadership experience 5 Years relevant experience in the broadband or telephone industry Excellent Communications and Organizational Skills Fiscal management and results reporting experience Solid understanding of Broadband Industry Telecommunications Technology and Operations When you join our team You’ll be joining an award-winning company and team.
