A Portfolio Manager is responsible for the overall asset management and reporting for a portfolio of loans.
The Portfolio Manager also support Underwriting and Business Development in strengthening the relations with clients.
Provides administrative and operational support as needed to multiple lending functions in accordance with established systems and procedures.
Ensures schedules and deadlines are met, coordinating with other departments as needed.
Maintains appropriate files and records.
Reviews documents prior to submission.
Performs necessary research for completion of projects.
Assists with problem resolution as needed.
Assists Senior Portfolio Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The individual with this position in our company will be expected, on a regular basis, to:
Work with the Loan Officer to ensure we have all documents required on each borrower.
Work with Loan Officer, Central Credit, and Borrower to coordinate credit analysis, approval, and loan closings.
Submit appraisal orders to central credit administration
Engage attorneys for title work; request lender’s and owner’s title insurance as needed.
Coordinate with attorneys to resolve any issues to be cleared up prior to loan closing.
Contact borrowers for missing or needed documentation.
Ensure that proof of insurance is in file and that First State Bank is listed as Loss Payee/Mortgagee.
Verify property taxes have been paid with no outstanding taxes owed.
Request UCC, Secretary of State, and Pulling Courthouse Retrieval Searches.
Retrieve flood verifications and ensuring that proper flood insurance is in place if needed.
Work with Loan Officer to clear any document tracking items.
Work with Central Credit to ensure loan file is complete prior to loan closing.
Close loans with borrowers as needed; Cross-sell additional products and services.
Prepare HMDA monitoring forms, Adverse Action Notices and Withdrawal forms.
Input complete loan applications in loan software platform and pull credit reports
Review the closed loan package to ensure that we have all documents completed and signed.
Issue checks, wires, paying invoices as needed, credit and debit correct general ledger accounts.
Send signed loan documents to the loan operations department for loan booking to establish the permanent file.
Serve as back up for other portfolio managers.
Participate in community involvement and bank functions when called upon to promote favorable image of this bank.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Prior banking experience preferred.
