Established Plastic Surgeon is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Sales Administrator with a strong sales and administrative background for a successful and growing plastic surgery practice located in Linwood, NJ.
This practice is owned by a well-respected plastic surgeon who caters to an elite, but family-focused clientele, where thousands of procedures have been executed with the most natural and impressive results in a down-to-Earth family-focused office setting. This practice specializes in facial and body procedures, skin resurfacing, fillers and injectables such as Botox, Juvederm, and more.
The winning candidate must be willing to work in a sleeves-rolled, hands-on fashion, doing “whatever it takes” to help the team grow. There must be a focus on driving sales and results coupled with an ardent desire to implement and sustain organization and efficiency throughout the practice. There is a need for the winning candidate to be comfortable and capable of working with tenured front and back-office employees and to command respect while maintaining a positive work environment. Exceptional relationship building ability as well as a desire to perform outreach to drive referral business is necessary.
Requirements of the Plastic Surgery Sales Administrator:
- Fluency (both spoken and written) in Spanish and English is a must
- Bachelor’s degree. Graduate degree in business or health care administration a plus
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- 5+ years of sales and/or sales management experience – preferably in cosmetic surgery office management or patient care coordination (PCC), med-spa, high-end retail, medical device, pharmaceutical sales, or similar – ideal candidate will be able to prove prior consistent results
- Belief in the power of cosmetic surgery to change the lives of proper candidates for the better
- Must be confident and comfortable presenting prices ranging from 3 to over 20 thousand dollars and asking for the order and closing the sale on the spot
- Knowledge of medical software like Patient Now or Nextech is preferred
- Ability to coordinate and conduct meetings
- Type accurately at no less than 40 wpm – 55 wpm a must
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills – an addiction to prompt task completion without compromising quality is a must
- Professionalism in dress and presentation, honesty, excellent work ethic, and positive attitude a must
- Willingness to utilize existing skills and talent, while simultaneously being open minded to the practice’s proven system and that of an outside consulting group specializing in practice development
Responsibilities for the Plastic Surgery Sales Administrator:
- Team Management – help to hire and train employees, plus manage them with a healthy balance between relationship-building and holding accountability. Report directly to the physician ownership as well as have oversight and training from an industry-leading medical practice consulting group which has overseen some of the most successful practices in the nation.
- Selling – Train with a top consulting firm to sell plastic surgery procedures to prospective patients through extensive phone conversations and live consultations. Comfort with quoting and selling procedures ranging from 3 to over 20 thousand dollars is necessary.
- Organization and Efficiency – Must be driven towards task completion and organization. Each week, the sales administrator will ensure the surgeon’s schedule and time is used to maximum efficiency, efforts are made to minimize cancellations and no shows, conversion/patient selection rates are high, patient flow is consistent, and the office flow is well orchestrated.
- Planning – Initially, the sales administrator will work with the surgeon to establish a 3-month plan as well as an annual plan – this will include sales and expense projection as well as budgeting, but also extend to big picture items including the build-out and development of an O.R. The doctor is seeking a leader, beyond a person to simply delegate work to, who can present and execute well thought-out ideas and plans.
- Daily Minutiae – like any practice, the administrator will be responsible for OSHA and HIPAA compliance, maintaining employee files and dealing with basic HR duties, meeting with vendors, referring doctors, website items, inventory, event planning and execution, filing, scanning, preparing medical charts, generally supporting the team working to assist the surgeon, etc.
