Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Position Overview:
The Plant Manager in Training (PMIT) must be a dynamic, upwardly mobile professional who will assume an Assistant Plant Manager position for 3-6 months in an ImageFIRST plant but be ready to accept a full-time Plant Manager position in another ImageFIRST plant after their initial training. The PMIT will already possess the minimum qualifications below before being hired, and quickly master the Key Responsibilities below. The PMIT role is for high potential candidates ready to assume the key operational role of Plant Manager within ImageFirst within 6 months or less of joining the company. Relocation is mandatory upon training.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of production associates and production supervisors to meet operating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including labor costs, on-time performance, product quality, utilities, supplies and materials costs
  • Assist with improving & maintaining associate productivity, associate engagement, safety compliance, production planning, maintenance, equipment operation and departmental communications
  • Meeting financial requirements with regards to forecasting, plant improvements, cost reduction & administrative compliance. Provide plant reporting as needed
  • Work closely with plant manager as well as the HR & Maintenance Departments to ensure the production team’s success
  • Understand the operations of other departments in an ImageFIRST location, including Human Resources, Service, Office, Sales.
  • Manage production environment, product inventory and product orders within budget
  • Execute daily production staff meetings, daily team production huddles, and assist with execution of monthly safety committee meetings
  • Ensure ImageFIRST quality and infection prevention standards are met
  • Conduct progressive disciplinary actions with employees when needed to manage performance
  • Ensure proper housekeeping & plant cleanliness are always maintained
  • Manage production associates to ensure responsibilities are achieved in an efficient and safe manner
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as reasonably assigned by Plant Manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in an Operations- or Production-oriented environment, managing and leading people, performance, and technology
  • Ability to relocate to another city within 6 months to take over a Plant Manager position in a new ImageFIRST Plant is required, subject to the needs of the company
  • 10-15% Travel for the position required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual or multi-lingual preferred. Able to partner and communicate with all levels of the plant from hourly associates to senior management.
  • Proven success in KPI improvement in required to be promoted, particularly in the area of Labor Management and Productivity, Order Accuracy and Fulfillment, etc.
  • Must have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
