Overview
PLANT MANAGER (Beaver Dam)
The Plant Manager is primarily responsible to help direct production of the manufacturing operations of the company at the Beaver Dam location. The plant manager helps determine policy, production flow, staff development and procedures to enable the plant to run effectively and profitable while maintaining high levels of safety and quality. The Plant Manager serves as a mentor, leader and culture example for the entire plant.

* Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
* Maintain a clean and safe plant.
* Establish and direct plant policies and procedures.
* Responsible for setting and achieving plant production goals.
* Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
* Foster and hold accountable a well-trained and motivated staff.
* Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping.
* Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules.
* Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff.
* Conduct employee performance reviews.
* Collaborates with HR on employee performance management and recruitment.
* Maintains a plant budget and is fiscally accountable.
* Schedule and conduct regular plant meetings and supervisory team meetings.
* Responsible for the product quality control for the plant.
* Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
* 5-10 years of manufacturing leadership knowledge as well as good communication and supervisory skills.
* Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, value stream management, constraint management, and strategic planning skill sets
* Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
* Proven successful hands-on manager in a manufacturing environment
* Skills in leading teams and knowledge of best practices in production management
* Understanding of business and management principles including in-depth cost
* Experience with production scheduling and quality control systems
* Solid computer skills experience with MS office and SAP preferred
* Bachelor degree preferred but not required relating to operations management
