Planet Technology: Senior Project Manager

Sr. Project ManagerThis person will have the knowledge to help with business integrations, finance concepts, ERP functionalities across the whole business system. agile methodologies, integrations experience requiredCoordinate with Finance team stakeholders to define requirements of each project, develop a project plan, and manage progress against key milestones across multiple workstreams.Engage in early-stage discussions to help define projects for prioritization and to facilitate deeper project planning activities.Provide thought leadership and direction on assigned program ensuring disciplined execution and continuous improvement of Program and Project Management practices.Accountable for the success of critical, cross-department projects within a technical program within agreed budgets and timelines.Understand and manage key components and deliverables within a project plan (e.G., process mapping and gap analysis, elements of system implementation and process improvements such as customer/supplier data conversions, testing, corporatecompliance, etc.)Create and ensure compliance with all relevant PM standards, documents, policies, and best practices.Promote visibility to the technical program backlog and focus technical program team effort on strategic priorities.Facilitate and own core development lifecycle routines (e.G., elaboration, grooming, standup, etc.)Drive project communications and manage escalation of scope change requests for review.Manage risks, budgets, and dependencies within projects and across departments and technical programs.Act as the single point of contact for escalations to Senior Management, working closely with enterprise leadership to manage escalation messaging.Build solid working relationships within and outside (vendors, franchises) the organizationExperience, Qualifications & CompetenciesBachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience5+ years of experience leading technical programs, including creation of roadmap schedules, business communications and cross-program coordination5+ years of experience leading concurrent, complex, cross-department projects in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environmentExperience in using a range of portfolio, program and project management approaches including traditional and Agile (Lean, Scrum, and Kanban) methodologiesExperience in managing program budgets and reputational and business risks for the organization, IT, and the corporate entityExperience working in a franchisor/franchisee company environment a plusDemonstrated expertise in business requirements development, program and project management, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and communicationPossess an understanding of enterprise technology infrastructure, application development & maintenance, system integrations, service-oriented architecture applications, software testing, and network architectureDemonstrated familiarity with financial systems landscapes (ERP, Consolidation Tools, Reporting, POS, etc.)Proficiency in project support tools such as JIRA, Confluence,Mural/Miro/Lucidchart, or MS OfficePMP and/or CSM a plusStrong interpersonal communication skills with experience in resolving challengingsituations when managing people and projectsPossess strong oral and written communication skills to successfully partner with internal and external teamsAdaptable with a focus on disciplined execution to ensure quality of deliverables, adherence to standards and continuous improvement of people, process, and toolsAbility to garner trust among program/project team and stakeholdersExtremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an excellent ability to establish priorities and objectives*Exhibit confidence, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
