The Work location for this role would be in Shelton, Connecticut.

Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) R&D Leader is accountable managing, leading and developing the R&D Group for ICP-OES group in accordance with the strategic, financial and quality objectives to improve the short and long term objectives of the Company.

Key Responsibilities Directs and executes the multi-generation technology plan (MGTP) for all research projects with ICP-OES group and assures close alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Acts as a scientific expert/chief engineer to the product development organization during implementation and process confirmation phases, allowing thorough conceptualization and overall design and testing of the ICP-OES product.

Accountable for innovation and technology capabilities and expertise within this with a focus on driving best practices for the necessary tools, methodology and training required to meet global development objectives.

Work with manufacturing and service personnel to improve quality, manufacturability, and serviceability.

Ensure that all R&D programs/projects have optimal resources, skills and capacity.

Work with program manager to provide resource loading and time estimates for development projects.

Demonstrates independent and creative scientific thinking, ability in solving complex problems, and resilience to setbacks and changes.

Experience in leading a team, and coordinate multiple collaborative projects in a cross-functional program team environment.

Basic Qualifications: Master €™s degree in science, engineering, or related field (Physics, Engineering with strong computer and mathematics skills) required.

Knowledge of ICP-OES theory and components (such as UV/Vis optics, opto-mechanical components and design, RF systems, photon detectors and data acquisition hardware).

Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D.

level education is strongly preferred Hands-on experience in design and development of ICP-OES systems and/or analytical instruments.

Strong instrumentation design skills and troubleshooting abilities.

Currently active in appropriate industry, technical, and professional associations.

Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills Travel Requirements 20%
