This is a Full-time position in Redan, GA posted February 24, 2022.

We are seeking a strategic and action-oriented retail leader to serve as Director of Retail Location Strategy for Walt Disney World and Disney Signature Experiences.

The individual will lead the team responsible for delivering the best expressions of all brands within owned and operated retail stores.

They will drive the strategic retail plan inclusive of real-estate optimization, assortment strategies and quarterly product space planning.

The Director is a key leader who links the Global Merchandise Creation (GPC) team to the leadership teams at Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Signature Experiences.

Primary partnerships include park operations, Site retail lines of business, commercial strategy and the GPC merchandising, planning and visual merchandising teams.

The role requires fluency in all facets of the business to enable effective integration of GPC and channel specific strategies.

The Director will report to the Vice President of Retail Location Strategy and will be based in Orlando.Responsibilities : Responsible for influencing and translating the pre-season global product strategy to each owned and operated location while linking to regional business objectives.Provide leadership to field teams who work with the various properties at Walt Disney World and Disney Signature Experiences.

Accountable for delivering the best expression of all brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 21CF & National Geographic) bycreating quarterly retail assortment strategies that align with specific location profiles and themes.Leads in-season adjustments to the retail strategy to optimize opportunities and mitigate stock challenges in partnership with planning, allocation and visual merchandising.Accountable for integrating and executing retail strategies linked to the long-term plan, annual plan, capital plan and all strategic initiatives.Drives the development of the merchandise capital plan and integrated facility plan including the annual needs assessment, business case development and capital authorization.

Influences merchandising and planning teams to advocate for specific needs within the global merchandising plan.

Basic Qualifications : Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in location strategy, planning, buying and/or merchandising.Demonstrated ability to identify and create the vision for new opportunities and ability to build the business case to support.Strong understanding of space planning, retail mapping and adjacencies.Strong business, analytical and financial acumen with a proven track record of driving results.Demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships with cross functional partners and a diverse set of stakeholders, lead in a collaborative style as well as communicate in an engaging, impactful manner.Proven ability to effectively communicate to leaders at all levels and influence major decisions.Demonstrated ability to set priorities and timelines to meet challenging deadlines.Preferred Qualifications: Retail leadership experience in a complex organizationRequired Education : Bachelors Degree or equivalentPreferred Education : Masters Degree in BusinessAdditional Information : CPGPJOBS #DPEPFLA
