This is a Full-time position in Adger, AL posted February 10, 2022.
Duties include performing visual safety inspections in a coalmine of previously mined and uninhabited areas and reporting potential unsafe conditions to the appropriate mine personnel.
Other duties include performing measurements of mine airflow and interpreting digital methane gas meters.
Duties may also include the oversight of: material delivery to designated work areas; brattice work; setting posts and roof supports; clean up duties; setting up power stations; hanging ventilation curtain.
Requirements
* Must have/be able to reciprocate all applicable Federal and State underground certifications and successfully complete industry approved training courses.
* Rotating shifts, weekends, and holiday work is mandatory.
