Operations Manager HIM Market

SOVAH Health – Martinsville Assists Market Director to supervise and assure completion of all tasks by staff in a timely, efficient and compliant manner. Assumes responsibility as custodian of records. Implements and maintains efficient storage and retrieval system. Plans and institutes most efficient and economical methods of record retention. Provides assistance in following areas of Health Information Management: File area, research/audit, record processing, E-Request, storage of archived records, Privacy & HIPAA, breaches, Denials, staff scheduling, chart auditing, release of information, analysis/chart deficiencies and corrections and suspensions. Job Requirements: Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree required. Preferred: degree in Health Information field. Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Demonstration of strong organization, analytical, facilitation, communication, inter-personal and presentation skills. Leadership skills to motivate cross-departmental teams’ performance. Ability to analyze and resolve problems that cross departmental boundaries, regardless of whether the problem originates in an area under direct or indirect control. Required: AHIMA Certified Credential RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CSS-P, CCA Minimum Work Experience Three (3) years experience in Health Information Management Department. Required Skills Requires: Sitting for long periods of time. Constant movement. Bending/Stooping/Walking. Mental Alertness, periods of high stress and interruptions. Normal vision range, hearing capacity and speech.
