The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) is responsible for providing operational leadership to assigned company branch locations in achieving and sustaining excellent operational, safety, and customer satisfaction standards. This role directs and provides guidance to branch management through daily contact and regular interactions, such as branch visits, meetings, audits, and calls. The territory is from southern Rhode Island to Maine. This role identifies operational gaps, as well as process and operational improvements. Additionally, the ROM is responsible for the operational development of Branch Manager leaders and partners with the Operations Manager and Sales Manager to resolve customer issues that arise. Supervised by the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for controlling branch costs, branch sales and service, branch safety, training, employee development, and inventory control.

Job Requirements:

Your role as the Regional Operations Manager

·       You will be on the road traveling to branches just about every day; The territory is from southern RI to Maine.

·       Leads by example in all staff and customer dealings in person, on the phone, and in written communication

·       Partners with the Operations Manager to establish and adhere to operational and branch performance goals and metrics.

·       Establishes and promotes an underlying culture of safety at all branches.

·       Attends bi-weekly Safety Committee Meetings and communicates pertinent information to the Branch Managers to increase safety in their branch locations.

·       Recommends and executes operational improvements and leads operational initiatives that lower costs and or improve customer service.

·       Enforces safety policies and procedures at branch locations and develops programs to safeguard employees.

·       Responsible for P&L review and operating expense review.

·       Recommends facility improvements

·       Facilitates, coordinates key personnel and technical/operational processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction

  • Coaches, trains, and develops branch management in matters related to employee communication, investigations, and team development.
  • Under direction of the Operations Manager and in partnership with Human Resources, the ROM is responsible for branch application and best practices associated with branch staff management in accordance to company policy and guidelines.
  • Conducts branch and office travel as needed along with potential extended travel based on project needs

 

Job Requirements

  • Daily travel throughout the region: Ability to visit different branches throughout the week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with business, warehousing, supply chain, logistics and related functions.  HVAC experience a plus.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a multi-unit leadership role with demonstrated metric successes. 
  • High degree of personal ethics, customer service, and commitment to safety.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications as needed to satisfactorily perform work assignments – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint as well as have the ability to learn company enterprise systems as needed – Solar Eclipse, etc.
  • Must be organized, able to prioritize, set and keep deadlines, change direction quickly, and adapt to various work environments easily.
