Operational Improvement, Sr Operations Manager-Initiatives

Job Summary:You will manage the identification, development, and implementation of overall operational improvements throughout Distribution Services.

You will integrate strategic projects within the warehouse while also focusing on developing dashboards / reports / KPIs to drive operational efficiency.

Partner with support areas to identify, evaluate, and implement new industry technologies.

In addition, you will also support the performance excellence accountability program and implementation of a new WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and LMS (Labor Management Systems).In this role, you will report to the Manager for Distribution Services.Responsibilities:You Will:Identify areas of opportunity and create strategies to improve process flows, provide data analysis, and partner with leadership to implement changes.Develop new reporting or improve existing reports.

Develop requirements that enable the gathering of data not previously captured that provides new insights to operation.

Work with the Information Technology team for support and validation.Support ongoing software systems / WMS testing and various migrations.Provide technical and project support to other OI disciplines (web development, reporting, system improvement, database management).Partner with leadership and support teams on strategic warehouse initiatives for multiple warehouse types (e.g.

Food & Beverage, Merchandise, General Supplies).Support new WMS transitions.Improve performance excellence accountability program by expanding to new areas and implementing engineered work standards / LMS.Support performance excellence accountability program sustainment by evaluating strategies, processes, and metrics to ensure optimal efficiencies are met.Provide support to each operation with regard to performance observations and Cast Member communication strategies.Basic Qualifications:You Will Have:Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency acquiring, organizing, cleaning, and manipulating large amounts of data.Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional presentation skills (to hourly Cast, senior and executive leadership).Aptitude to learn, specifically technical systems.Interaction and conflict management skills.Project management experience.Leadership, organizational, communication, and influential skills.Experience performing exploratory and quantitative analysis.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in warehousing (including performance management experience).Experience in supply chain.Experience leading in a unionized environment.Experience with advanced analytics systems, business intelligence systems and data accessing systems such as Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, etc.Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) such as Oracle Retail Warehouse Management Systems (ORWMS), Pyramid Director Automation (WCS), Symphony EYC (Gold Stock) WMS, Samsara, etc.Experience in web development.Required EducationBachelor’s Degree from accredited college in the following disciplines; Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology, Operations Management or related field.Preferred EducationMaster’s Degree from accredited college in the following disciplines; Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology, Operations Management or related field.Additional Information:Benefits and Perks: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
