Overview
This position is responsible for reviewing financial and company data and utilizing analytical tools to assist key leaders in the management of the operating divisions.
Responsibilities
Supervision of regional analysts supporting the geographies.
Development of financial and analytical reports to assist management.
Manage information (e.g. Natural Insight Analysis) to migrate into monthly updates, modify analysis, and develop standard reports and refine the process and analysis.
Review retail analysis reports, benchmarking reports, forecasts and trend analysis in sales, finance, retail, general business conditions and other related areas.
Support key leaders in developing performance metrics and business policies for the regions.
Serve as key liaison with HR and IT to generate the metric reports in the most timely and efficient manner.
Provide financial analysis support for operational initiatives such as Sales Support hubs, retail changes, etc.
Support Finance and regional leadership on projects and projections.
Construct executive level presentations and present complex analytical findings in clear and concise manner.
Provide implementation support and analysis for Client Owners on deep dive analysis.
Interface with internal owners (e.g. Retail, Sales Support and Analytical Services) on opportunities for efficiency gains.
Provide assistance with pricing services and research pricing opportunities for evaluation (e.g. transactional customers, fee for service, ASAP pricing).
Provide analysis and support for aggressively challenging proposed rate reductions from clients.
Evaluate rate impact on profitability and identify opportunities for rate simplification and consistency.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent.
A minimum of one year management experience.
3-5 years in financial, retail and/or operational analysis of corporate initiatives.
Food Brokerage experience preferred.
Ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis, management reporting, and process improvement.
Must possess analytical, project management and business process reengineering skills.
A basic understanding of cost accounting may be required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across functions.
Must be highly proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint and statistical analysis.
