Brookings Health System is seeking a Nutrition and Food Services Director to join our team and be part of the Brookings Health System mission: To provide high quality, compassionate, personalized health care.
This full-time position will be responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising of all dietary operations and activities within Brookings Health System.
The Director shall oversee the dietetic services to patients, residents, tenants, employees, guests and caterings.
Develop quality improvement activities, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standard practices and regulatory agencies.
Hire, manage, develop and support food service personnel across the health system.
Qualifications needed:
Certified Dietary Manager Certification and ServSafe Certification required.
Ability to develop and implement facility policy in regards to safety and sanitation principals and regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of food procurement, preparation and inventory.
Knowledge of equipment and supplies for commercial kitchen.
Ability to supervise, train, manage and evaluate personnel.
Knowledge of menu planning, nutrition, therapeutic and modified textured diets for all demographics.
Ability to purchase, order, store and distribute food to various areas.
Ability to communicate effectively to build relations with other staff at all levels.
