Nursing Manager, RN/BSN Cancer Unit at Brooklyn Hospital New York Cancer & Blood Specialists New York Cancer and Blood Specialists, a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Nurse Manager, RN/BSN in our Cancer Unit at Brooklyn Hospital.

The Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research departments In this role, you will: Maintain all aspects of patient care.

Schedules and conducts all aspects of patients visit (lab, EKG, documentation, etc.).

Administer study treatments as required including but not limited to IV infusions.

Maintain pharmacy for all drug studies, includes completion of accountability logs and maintenance of IVRS systems.

First line of contact for patients regarding treatments/adverse events/scheduling.

Complete SAE documentation as necessary.

Collect and documents adverse events, ensures proper protocol procedures are followed regarding drug holds including PI notification.

Maintain open dialogue with medical monitor and study monitors.

Maintain subject charts for studies including creation of source documents for paper charts.

Function as un-blinded study personnel for applicable studies.

Screen for patient enrollment.

File study-related documents.

Manage the RN staff who mix and administer chemotherapy to cancer patients.

We require: Valid New York RN License, preferably a BSN.

At least 1 year of management experience.

At least 2 years’ experience as an RN in a Hospital setting and with administering medication by injections.

Previous oncology infusion experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Excellent communication skills.

Ability to understand complex clinical trials protocols and document requirements.

Ability to function as an effective team member.

MS Office product knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
