We are looking for a Director, Continuous Improvement function to help support the operational effectiveness of Nightingale College.
The incumbent is accountable for promoting and supporting an environment conducive to innovation, positive thinking, and growth, in alignment with the College’s mission, vision, Evolvitude, and other institutional frameworks.Role Title: Director, Registration ManagementCompensation Range:$68,000.00 to $72,000.00 SalaryPosition Summary:The Director of Registration Management will work closely with other functions at the College to provide excellent learner-centric service to all learners.
The position oversees the Registrar function and manages day to day operations within the Academic Advising function.
The position works closely with learners wanting to withdraw from the College, learners who take a Leave of Absence, and learners wanting to change schedules.
This position is responsible for development, implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of the function’s strategic initiatives, culture, and practice standards.Essential Function and Responsibilities:Build, plan and execute the Academic Advising function.Develop, direct, and coordinate the registrar function.Create strategies to execute an efficient registration process.Supervise Academic Advisors.Streamline all paperwork for learners to use during academic changes of their program.Assist in forecasting workforce and improve efficiency to meet budgeted targets.Establish clear performance expectations and deliver results which are consistent with the College’s goals and mission.Manages all day-to-day operations within the Academic Advising function and Registration function.Ensures compliance with all internal academic policies and procedures and all applicable accrediting standards, state licensing requirements, FERPA, and all other applicable external rules and regulations.General administrative leadership over the Registration and Academic Advising Functions.Develops, implements, and oversees budgets for both Academic Advising and Registrar functions.Participate in learner development and retention programs.Implement and evaluate the academic advisement program’s goals and objectives.Stay informed of changing institutional information including admissions requirements, new programs, course changes, deadlines, important dates, costs, pre and co-requisites, transfer requirements, updates in college-wide narratives, and state and federal mandates and serve as subject matter expert regarding the College Catalog.Participates in and contributes to the development and promotion of policies and programs that support academic and professional development of learners and collaboratorsCollaborates with all functions to support systems, processes, and products that lead to enhancing the overall learner experience.Monitors and supports institutional and functional outcomes and KPIs.Develops and refines cross-functional processes, initiatives, and support structures.Fosters a climate of academic excellence and collaboration.Constantly monitors, analyzes, and evaluates current scope of services offered through Academic Advising and Registration and make strategic changes as needed.Participates in the College’s Strategic and tactical planning.Always adhere to the College’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the role.Uses a computer, a telephone, and other tools and equipment to produce outputs and to communicate.Travels as required to attend meetings and to participate in training.Works remotely as business exigencies warrant and as approved by the Vice President, Enrollment Management.Understands and agrees the preceding is intended to indicate the general nature and level of work expected.Understands and agrees the preceding is not to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required.Pay is non-bonused and non-incentivized.The Director of Registration Management is a remote position with some travel for trainings, intreats and conferences.Engages in College-wide, cross-functional, and function-specific activities, committees, projects, events, initiatives, and meetings, as required.Reports to the Vice President, Enrollment Management.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Minimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.Five (5) years of experience in businessCoaching, mentoring, or management experience requiredExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.Ability to work in a dynamic, ever-changing environment, with a focus on metrics and priorities.Ability to work independently and as a committed team player.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability work with a wide range of individuals in a diverse learner population.Ability to use technology, including student and data management systems, CRM, Word, and Excel, efficiently and appropriately.High tolerance and enthusiastic approach to change, business process improvement and technology development.Ability to manage time effectively.Ability to think strategically.Ability to execute and achieve results.Strong leaner-centric focus; commitment to learner satisfaction and success.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard; Specific visionabilities required due to computer work; andAbility to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
This position is required to attend new employee orientation in person in Salt Lake City, Utah from March 14th through March 17th.
