Job Description:
Summary
The National Accounts Implementation Manager will manage the implementation process for clients with more than 2,000 employees.
Starting with finalist meeting participation, notification of sale and ending with transition a completely implemented client to Service management team, the National Account Implementation Manager plays a key role in client experience.
Deliverables of implementation are the delivery of accurate customer documents, contracts, administration and claim readiness.
An effective implementation includes data gathering, benefit verification and negotiation, risk assessment and project management.
This role will have extensive interaction with both external customers (brokers and benefit administrators) and internal partners (underwriting, claims, premium, etc.).
The role will support the implementation of Life, Short Term disability, Long term disability, Dental, Absence Management and state specific leaves.
During these interactions, the Implementation Manager will handle sensitive customer conversations which require strong communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage and own the entire implementation process; provide an exceptional customer service experience inclusive of clear communication, responsiveness and documentation.
Participate in finalist presentations to explain the Implementation process and client experience.
Be the customer’s primary contact throughout the implementation to ensure their expectations are met during the transition to Sun Life
Build and follow a project management plan to ensure completion of all tasks timely and accurately.
Utilize Technology resources through project management process, through communication resources and solution offering to the client.
Collect, Document, and Share plan, process, and product information regularly and clearly throughout the implementation.
Proactively identify service and technology requirements unique to the individual customer
Facilitate discussions with appropriate subject matter experts
Deliver and collect all sold case materials
Partner with internal resources to build and execute an enrollment plan specific to client requirements
Update internal systems and teams of client plan and administration information
Assess individual case characteristics, consult with underwriting and other related departments (legal/compliance/claims etc,) to coordinate final risk approval
Track and maintain client specific data throughout the implementation process
Effectively manage client meetings to be clear, effective, productive and client friendly
Requirements:
College degree and 5-7 years of experience in the insurance/customer service industry
Prior experience in an implementation or project manager role is strongly preferred
Solid decision making and problem solving skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective, professional business relationships with internal and external customers
Strong presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Communication/negotiation skills and influencing the customer are critical competencies
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Location of Role is Remote, with expected 30% travel required
