What Youll Do
This is an amazing new opportunity for a Compliance Senior Manager to lead the NAMR Compliance team at BCG.
The NAMR compliance function forms part of BCG’s Risk Management and Compliance team.
The Compliance team provides steering and oversight on critical compliance topics that anchor how we all support each other, our clients, and run our business – with policies, processes, and systems which we continuously improve.
The team develops and implement smart capabilities, toolkits, frameworks, and trainings, to empower BCG staff to act in accordance with our Values and Code of Conduct, and to promote adherence to laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
This role will involve performing compliance advisory, training, communications, reporting, and procedural tasks relating to the NAMR businesses for BCG.
In particular this role will be responsible for:
• Supporting compliance management to identify material risk and compliance weaknesses using horizon scanning, risk assessments, monitoring and assurance, review of lessons learnt and developing plans to address the same;
• Identifying opportunities to mitigate compliance risks and create efficiencies in the way the global compliance programme is delivered; and
• Supporting in the roll-out and implementation of global change management activities and regulatory change projects.
The role will work proactively on a variety of compliance tasks and projects to support successful compliance outcomes and efficiencies, for topics such as, but not limited to, bribery and corruption, insider trading, conflicts of interest, third party risk and information management.
What You’ll Do
• Work with global and functional teams to perform a compliance maturity assessment against global compliance standards to identify best practices and evaluate whether there are any areas for improvement.
Provide guidance on mitigating actions to address gaps or find efficiencies
• Perform horizon scanning across legislation, regulations, and requirements relevant to BCG
• Provide compliance advice, support, and training, and carry out compliance monitoring, where required
• Alongside appropriate cross-functional teams, including Legal, help to assess the relevance of new or changing regulation in respect of BCGs operations.
Ensure local offices keep appropriate records of determinations and interpretations
• In collaboration with the Global Compliance team, recommend local thresholds and reporting requirements and work with the relevant teams to develop the necessary KPI’s to fulfil these
• Provide client and business service teams with relevant articles and prepare guidance for ongoing best practices in relation to compliance risks
• Produce and disseminate high level summaries and impactful information on compliance matters to key stakeholders including, but not limited to, the Global Compliance Centre of Excellence team as well as local leadership roles (including Regional and System Risk & Compliance MDP Nodes), Finance Regional Controllers and Heads of Finance
• Oversee data validation and integrity checks on datasets used for compliance reporting
• Oversee bottom-up risk identification exercises in Regions/Systems/Local Offices, including aggregating results and producing analysis and reports
• Attend appropriate industry briefing on relevant topics ensuring that outputs from these briefing are then appropriately disseminated to stakeholders within the business
• Assume additional responsibilities as required

• Capability to provide advice & guidance to business units, covering policies, procedures, and risks
• Strong background in risk and controls
• Strong ability to identify trends and unusual activity in management information and data
• Demonstrated experience in project and risk management
• Developing internal networks across functions.
Acting as a contact for stakeholders at a variety of levels
• High integrity, flexibility, willingness to progress initiatives while demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and independence
• Professional compliance or legal qualifications will be considered favourably
• Fluent business English (spoken and written); additional languages desirable
You Bring (experience & Qualifications)
• An academic degree in a relevant discipline.
Advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in BCG global services, BST (or consulting team).
Alternatively, 5-7 years relevant experience in a leadership role, either in a compliance environment / or other risk management discipline such as audit, fraud examination, quality control, compliance and risk analysis within a financial/ banking institution, professional services, consulting firm or international business (aerospace, transport, construction, pharmaceutical, healthcare etc.)
