RetailNext is looking for an all-star, Mid-Market Account Director to join our Sales Team and focus on selling to Small to Medium Business (SMB) retailers.
The Mid-Market Account Director will work cooperatively with Enterprise Account Directors and other members of the RetailNext team to grow existing SMB customers, hunt for new customers and meet or exceed quarterly set sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.
The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to be coached and understand how to implement feedback.
This candidate will also be a self
– starter who is proactive in driving revenue, increasing the client base, and evangelizing the value of the RetailNext platform.
Candidate must be excited about being part of a fast growing startup-like company and staying motivated throughout the full sales cycle.
This position is located in our headquarters in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities This is a closing role – ability to take a prospect from cold call to signing contract/PO Making a high volume of outbound calls to both warm and cold prospects Actively pursuing new SMB clients through various avenues (Linkedin, email, phone, company website, etc.) Ability to articulate RetailNext’s premium services to drive interest in furthering the sales conversation Effectively listening to the retailers needs/desires and speaking to how RetailNext would be able to assist Comfortably demo the RetailNext solution specific to the retailers current needs/interests Knowing how to get around objections.
You are astute at finding ways to get your prospects to say “Yes” Effectively following up with prospects to help move the needle towards a successful close Working with existing SMB clients to help grow them with the RetailNext solution Consistently achieving and exceeding quarterly goals Having a self-awareness that leads you to be open to feedback and dedicated to self-improvement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required 1-2 years previous inside sales experience (software sales a plus, past closing experience preferred) Selling to retail is a plus Experience with CRM a plus (Salesforce preferred) Understanding of data analytics is highly desired Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals
