Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained to conduct a search for the position of Mechanical Senior Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois.   

Mechanical Senior Project Manager Compensation and Benefits

Base salary for the Mechanical Senior Project Manager is between $100,000 and $140,000 depending on experience. Base salary may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Mechanical Senior Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage industrial projects and teams from qualification through closeout
• Manage process piping projects with a deep understanding of industrial projects
• Work closely with Superintendents and other Project Managers
• Develop and maintain relationships with customer successfully
• Prepare execution plans for each stage of the project
• Collaborate with Superintendent and other field personnel to ensure project is on schedule
• Manage financials, approve invoices, and track budget variances.
• Prepare reports for management
• Negotiate change-orders
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Oversee the estimating process and ensure bids are accurate and timely
• Understand and help manage the prefabrication process

Mechanical Senior Project Manager Qualifications

• Must have 10-15+ years’ experience within mechanical construction in a project management role
• Must have experience working on industrial projects above $15M+ in mechanical budget
• Must have management experience
• Strong employment stability
• Demonstrates prioritization, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Experience building manufacturing plants: specifically, pharmaceutical and food & beverage

Preferred but Not Necessary

• College degree preferred
• Experience with design/build
• Mechanical Engineering degree
