Position Summary: This position is responsible to supervise, direct, analyze, monitor, enforce, and improve AS400 / SAP processes at each of the Sheppard manufacturing locations regarding to supply planning.
Work closely with the Site SCE Leader in rolling out material management strategy.
Training plants on material management processes and strategies.
Perform audits to ensure all processes are running effectively.
Essential Functions: Management, training and development of direct reports and serve as a functional expert and mentor to their direct reports Achieving fill rate targets for the market and functional areas Management of the inventory related to market segment and functional areas of responsibility
– Excess and Obsolescence execution, Inventory reduction pipeline projects Provide input to the monthly SIOP II process Management of on-time supplier delivery – external and internal suppliers Establish, monitor and achieve freight spend targets Establish, monitor and achieve premium freight spend targets Ensure continue compliance to the applicable quality system standards Assess risks and take appropriate countermeasures to mitigate the risk Promote and utilize KPS initiatives, including continuous improvement and problem-solving tools.
Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Materials and Supply Chain Management, MRP system, SIOP, JIT, & Lean Manufacturing.
SAP, PP, MM In-depth knowledge of materials management techniques Knowledgeable in Six Sigma philosophies Experience: 3-5 years related experience plus one year with supervisory experience Proven 2-5 years’ experience AS400, SAP MM, PP Experience in managing others Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration required Green Belt certification is a preferred APICS certification desired Skills: Strong ability to establish credibility and trust Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Possesses advanced analytical skills Ability to influence and persuade to inspire action.
