Purpose and ObjectiveCapability to understand pneumatic and hydraulic products and manage new products through the quote and launch phases to get them into production in a timely manner at the target costs.
This position will be responsible for the management of customer service personnel and coordinating quoting, order entry, customer management, customer service and collection activities.
This position will assist with marketing efforts including sales information, targeted markets, trade shows, new/custom products and market strategy.Responsibilities 1.
Manage inside sales/customer service department2.
Coordinate quoting activities, including costing and pricing of new and existing products3.
Assist customer service clerks with special orders, technical questions and customer issues.4.
Prepare, update and maintain price and discount lists and other sales materials5.
Coordinate new projects through quote, design and into production6.
Communicate with key customers regularly and on other customers as needed7.
Attend industry trade shows and assist with being exhibitor as needed8.
Assist with direction, preparation and update of sales and marketing materials including catalogs, brochures and our internet site materials.9.
Locate, interpret, utilize and train associates on the proper use of ISO9001 documentation required in sales processes.General Job Knowledge:
· Must be technical minded and learn enough about our products in order to be able to assist customers with questions and new applications as needed.
· Needs to be knowledgeable in dealing with entire sales process from quote to invoicing through paper, electronic documents and ERP systems.
· General hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge related to how products work as well as general manufacturing techniques and processes.
· Knows how to manage employees including hiring, training and supervision
· Knows how to read and train others to read drawings, work instructions, job travelers
· Knowledgeable about workmanship standards, quality inspection requirements and quality auditingInitiative
· Provide the leadership and management for all sales and customer service associates
· Willing to learn new skills, expand knowledge and seek personal development.
Takes initiative to understand and propose improvements within the organization.
· Willing to learn, initiate and execute Lean processes, ISO9001 procedures and work instructions.
