The Job
The primary function of this position is to lead the organization and communication of the team’s day-to-day marketing and promotion initiatives.
This position also supports the development of marketing campaigns and creative materials for CNN Original Series, Films and network priorities.
This role is based in Atlanta, GA.
The Daily
• Assist with all day-to-day marketing efforts to support the team. This includes, but is not limited to, project tracking of multiple campaigns and assignments, communication with internal and external partners, and development of internal presentations/ recap reports
• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team by adding new ideas and approaches to support CNN Creative Marketing objectives
• Conduct competitive research on various elements of a marketing campaign (on-air, key art, digital, social, etc.)
• Participate in brainstorming campaign ideas and strategic outreaches
• Collaborate with the entire Creative Marketing Team, including the Media Team, Strategic Scheduling and Partnerships
• Archive project assets and materials
• Own the project management tracking tool (AirTable), timelines and deliverables lists
• Manage the team’s Awards submissions process
The Essentials
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
• 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing, advertising, news, media, or entertainment; agency experience a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must have a passion for CNN, news, pop culture, and entertainment
