Marketing Director – Safety, Regulatory & Quality

About the Role

This Marketing Director will support a high-growth and strategic business unit within IQVIA, called Safety, Regulatory and Quality (SRQ) Technologies Solutions. This very visible role is empowered to lead an existing marketing team to drive the development, execution, and management of all marketing efforts, events and communication programs associated with IQVIAs Safety, Regulatory and Quality Software as a Service (SaaS) portfolio.

In this role you will

  • Lead the marketing strategy and tactical plan to support IQVIAs Safety, Regulatory, and Quality SaaS offerings, as well as our combined portfolio encompassing consulting services, hosting, and managed services.

  • Partner with internal groups and external resources to convey SRQ key messages in a compelling manner – supporting market share growth and financial goals.

  • Develop and maintain annual marketing calendars to encompass event participation and goals (e.g., attend, exhibit, speaking opportunities) as well as ownership of editorial calendars for content creation and distribution (e.g., thought leadership, social media, etc.)

  • Advise, plan, and manage marketing budget; provide business case for expenditures.

  • Identify, hire, and oversee third party vendors as required for the development and production of visual elements to achieve desired results.

  • Position our SMEs as thought leaders and industry experts using PR within targeted geographic areas; contract with and manage thirdparty vendors for media outreach and dissemination of press releases.

  • Ensure clear articulation and alignment of business goals behind content marketing creation activities and robust metrics to measurement ROI.

  • Ensure existing thought leadership and marketing assets are readily available for use by our teams.

  • Partner and consult with management and solutions teams to create impactful sales aids (website, videos, factsheets) and thought leadership materials; recommend and leverage the appropriate digital and traditional media to build awareness and drive engagement with SRQ target audiences.

  • Strategically use social media to enhance our brands, build relationships and promote thought leadership.

  • Continually evaluate market conditions, competition, and new marketing approaches to refine marketing plans.

  • Identify and implement marketing best practices, including scalable and repeatable processes that will ensure efficiency.

  • Work closely with leadership to ensure agreement on priorities, adjusting as needed to reflect changing market conditions and emerging opportunities.

  • Manage internal communications to inform IQVIA teams about our SaaS and service solutions, drive engagement to support lead generation.

  • Mentor and develop SRQ Marketing team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • 10+ years experience working in marketing, communications, and event management within a technology-focused organization

  • Possess validated examples of your written and visual content that effectively frames the storyline in context of the market problems our buyers face

  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to plan, prep and execute events

  • Bring a broad skill set including team leadership, marketing planning, content marketing, project management, event management, website creation and maintenance, digital marketing, and social engagement

  • Ability to build solid cross-functional relationships and work effectively within all levels of a highly matrixed organization

  • Must be productive working in a virtual environment

  • Superb organizational, writing, and editorial skills
