Marketing Director, Consumer Renewable Energy Service

This is a Full-time position in Washington, DC posted October 4, 2021.

CleanChoice Energy, a national renewable energy company that empowers people and businesses to cut emissions and live cleaner, healthier lives, is launching a product called Clean Energy Option that will offer consumers in states across the country the ability to purchase 100% pollution-free, clean energy credits to mitigate their dirty energy usage.

With Clean Energy Option, consumers –
– including students, renters, and apartment dwellers –
– can access clean energy without a large, upfront investment, long-term contract or home installation.
CleanChoice seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Director to launch and manage our new Consumer Renewable Energy Service product lineÂ’s marketing efforts.

The right candidate will be a forward-thinking marketing strategist who leads with vision and integrity.

They will be an external evangelist and an internal advocate promoting a brand new product within a rapidly evolving industry, consistently delivering on the value proposition for both the business and our customers.

This position will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Marketing, working closely with the Clean Energy Option Managing Director.
Key Accountabilities
Launch, manage, and optimize in-market testing for new Clean Energy Option product Coordinate full-funnel marketing campaigns across all channels for assigned product line Define objectives, then create and implement omnichannel marketing programs to support those objectives
Responsibilities
Set go-to-market strategy for new product launch Define and track objectives and KPIs to establish strong product-market fit and marketing program effectiveness Develop positioning, messaging, targeting, and promotional strategy, ensuring core content, marketing assets, and value proposition are consistent across all channels Work across marketing and other departments to launch, operationalize, track, and improve campaigns Enable all marketing and sales channels to achieve product line goals efficiently and effectively Implement best-in-class digital marketing practices to effectively drive purchases within this channel Develop thoughtful testing strategy, define reporting requirements, diligently monitor results, and act on insights Support and inform product roadmap, collaborating closely with product, tech, and digital marketing teams In collaboration with business line leaders and marketing channel owners, develop pricing and offer strategies to maximize both business value and customer satisfaction Produce and manage project budgets and forecasts Regularly communicate project requirements, statuses, and key results to all internal stakeholders Develop strong, productive relationships with coworkers and foster cross-functional collaboration Ensure brand representation and company mission is central to all communications Conduct competitor and market research as appropriate, and maintain working knowledge of industry trends and best practices Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
7-10 years in a senior marketing role with experience designing, executing, measuring and improving marketing programs Results-driven self-starter, combining creative, analytical, and strategic expertise Ability to collaborate with all departments and across all levels of the organization Demonstrated success leveraging full-funnel digital marketing tactics to meet goals and objectives Proven track record of working with some combination of sales, telemarketing, or direct mail channels Dynamic, flexible, and comfortable with implementing “pivots” in tactics as the situation requires Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent time, project, and stakeholder management skills; able to manage multiple projects with varying schedules simultaneously Previous consumer-facing experience within renewable energy industry may be helpful but not required Experience marketing subscription products a plus Experience managing direct reports a plus
Location
This position has the potential to be remote.

We are located in a sunny office in Washington, DC overlooking the C&O Canal National Park.
