The CareerStep division of Carrus is looking for an experienced Marketing Content Manager to join our talented marketing team.
If you are passionate about creating diverse marketing content that informs users and organizations (B2C & B2B) of an organization’s product offerings, then you’re the right person for the job.
The Marketing Content Manager will own the end to end content marketing channel.
Working with copywriting, design, and social media, you will brainstorm, strategize, and create content (collateral, blog, digital, programs, video, ABM, etc.) for use in our dynamic marketing efforts.

A day in the life of the Marketing Content Manager looks like:
40% Content Publisher
Develop a comprehensive publishing schedule (content calendar) across, but not limited to, the following platforms and content types:
Webpages, blogs, whitepapers, infographics, case studies, video, content outreach partners, etc.
Ensure message delivered matches the format (i.e.
short form vs.
long form)
Collaborate with Marketing Engagement Manager to include content creation and cohesiveness for social platforms
Direct and manage outsourced content producers, including freelancers, agencies, and external SMEs, utilizing these resources to execute on the content calendar
Develop process for reviewing internal and external content, ensuring strategy alignment, accuracy, and quality
30% Brand SME
Co-own the brand message with the brand marketing team, ensuring all content contributions are in line and advance the product vision (including digital content, sales and trade show collateral, etc.)
Curate and maintain all brand-specific knowledge, ensuring accuracy in all content pertaining to our products, courses, etc.
25% Product Marketing
Act as the central point of feedback collection from all our department SMEs (social media, sales, customer support, etc.); communicate learnings to internal stakeholders and incorporate into the content calendar
Develop and maintain user journey mapping through analytics, heatmap, session recordings, etc., and incorporate learnings into content and other site optimizations
5% SEO
Have a foundational understanding of SEO and work with outside parties to implement best practices.
To love and be successful in this job, you will need to possess the below competencies, skills and education:
Education & Experience:
Minimum BA in Marketing, Communications, or English
4-5+ years writing and editing content
3+ years of hands-on experience planning and executing a content strategy

Collaboration: Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
Project Management: Own project execution from beginning to end using PM platform (Coschedule, Redbooth, Asana, Basecamp, etc).
Managing complexity: Make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to achieve department goals.
Situational adaptability: Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
Necessary Skills:
Developing solid strategy, aligning with company, division, and team vision and objectives, and translating that into content development.
Organization and project management
Preferred experience with SEO-driven content
Managing agencies and third-party content contributors
