MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
– NEW YORK, NY
MAIN PURPOSE
The Marketing & Communications Director will lead all aspects of the Marketing team (Media, PR, Events, CRM, VM, Store Planning, and End-Client Community management) in developing and implementing a marketing and communication strategy that will drive the brand positioning, revenue growth, and consumer awareness within North America.
He/she will support all collections, within the framework of the Maison’s strategic decisions, and translate them into measurable action plans.
In addition, an integral part of the role will be the responsibility of working with the Brand President in developing and executing the strategic brand direction and 5 year roadmap for A.
Lange and Sohne Americas that is in line with the global maison strategy.
The overall goal is to drive brand awareness as well as to achieve revenue targets.
The Marketing & Communications Director will be skilled at handling the different needs of the various distribution channels, creating engaging experiences for consumers, and driving meaningful results while implementing 360 degree client centric and data initiatives to support the growth of the business.
This role is highly cross functional with all departments (retail, wholesale, eCom/CRC, finance, operations HR), so it is key that this person creates strong internal and external partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Plan:
• In collaboration with the Brand President, lead the yearly Strategic Plan & ensure transversal synergy across divisions and regular planning updates.
• Ensure that all planned initiatives are in line with A.
Lange and Sohne’s haute-horologie positioning and drive increased brand equity.
• Ensure internal communication across the organization & regular updates with regional teams.
• Regular reporting and presentations to key stakeholders from both ALS (Local & Global), and Richemont Americas.
Marketing Strategy & Development:
• Orchestrate Product launches across 7 boutiques (Retail & Ext.
Retail) & full coordination with all relevant functions incl.
Retail and Training.
• Responsible for overseeing all product lines including action plan, animation, communication, performance, feedbacks & reporting.
• Responsible for planning and development of internal and external boutiques, as well as negotiating increased visibility in collaboration with Brand President and Wholesale Director.
• Oversee Maisons events & ensure Maisons identity is well expressed & conveyed to the audience.
• Monitor competitor activity and utilize key data for benchmarking.
• Manage and control A&P budget, in line with yearly budget & guidelines.
• Ensure that planned ROI is achieved in each maison initiative.
Communication Strategy & development:
• Protect Maisons Image & ensure Haute Horlogerie positioning of the Maison in North America.
• Plan strategic media across all channels and oversee implementation.
• Create initiatives to support A.
Lange and Sohne communities.
• Identify and build key sponsorships and partnerships that meet Maison’s criteria and objectives.
• Establish and build strong connections with various vendors, retailers, publishers, press, stylists, collectors, and key opinion leaders.
• Monitor editorial performance & put in place action plans accordingly.
• Grow maison’s digital and social media communication
Team member management:
• Manage and develop marketing and communication team members, in line with Maisons values, driving harmony & synergy across the organization, with all departments.
• Ensure clear guidance, directions & objectives for each team member.
• Provide factual feedbacks on both skills and behavior in order to help each team member to develop in line with Maisons high-expectations.
• As Director, ensure to lead by example & convey Maisons Values
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred required.
• 10 years + of experience in marketing; strong knowledge of the luxury/jewelry/watch environment in North America is a plus and at least 3+ years in a Senior Marketing role.
Technical Skills/Abilities:
• Experience in budget management
• Experience in Media and PR planning tools
• SAP and CRM database experience a plus
