– OtherMedical / Health Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.Responsible for direct management, performance, implementation andoutcome monitoring of Behavioral Medicine Service Line.Departmentsinclude all inpatient psychiatric units (adult and child),Geriatric Psychiatric Unit, & outpatient services (PartialHospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, individualoutpatient treatments).

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides strategicleadership and oversight to the continuum of clinical servicesoffered through the Behavioral Medicine Services.

Develops andimplements initiatives to expand and maximize the effectiveness ofthe Service Line, including targeted initiatives for technical andclinical administration departments.

Works closely within thenursing and medical staff leadership structure on issues related toservice delivery, technology and equipment, capital planning,revenue generation and enhancement, and all other administrativematters.

Coordinates resources to meet patient care demands.Ensures programs and services are in compliance with hospital andcorporate policies as well as federal, state, and local agencyregulations.

Developing, reviewing, and achieving behavioralmedicine service-line budgets annually Coordinating with nursingunits in the emergency room, medical/surgical units, clinics andother patient care units for patient triage, physician needs, andoverall care delivery Hiring, development, and management of stafffor the particular departments as described above.Performingevaluations and monitoring responsibilities of direct reportingstaff Implementing strategic planning for on-going businessdevelopment activities Developing and implementing the marketingand outreach strategies Facilitating decision making process withphysician Medical Directors Managing and evaluating potentialfacility projects Maintaining appropriate communications with allphysicians regarding all activities Participating in negotiationswith third-party payers, physicians, healthcare providers, andpayers Actively assisting in physician recruitment efforts Servingas physician and public liaison; serving on community boards asappropriate Skills and Certifications [note: bold skills andcertification are required] Registered Nurse, or Masters levelSocial Worker, or Bachelors degree required.

Psychology degreeSeven years managing a health care related program or service area.Previous leadership Outstanding management and strong interpersonalskills required.
