Managing Director – Obran Logistics

This is a Full-time position in Honolulu, HI posted January 26, 2022.

Who We Are

Obran Logistics is the newest business unit of Obran Cooperative.

Our mandate is to empower frontline logistics workers to further the cooperative’s mission to put the engines of business to work for humanity.

We are currently onboarding our first organization located in Hawaii.

About the Responsibilities
This role will play a pivotal role in building out the company’s strategy and execution with respect to international Supply Chain positioning and operations
Assume responsibility for hiring and managing team responsible for execution of all global logistics
Lead all logistics activities, including delivery, freight forwarding and warehousing
Collaboration: Communicate effectively and build cooperative and supportive working relationships with other teams, sites, and cross-functional departments
Lead, coach, mentor, train and develop the Logistics and Sales Teams
Inspire the Team to achieve their productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness goals
Budget & Financial: Budgetary responsibility for freight, warehousing, and distribution
Tracking and management of performance to budget
Project Management: Coordinate or oversee project activities within span of control
Metrics: Develop and maintain OKRs and data to measure effective operation of team and span of control
Coordinate product delivery logistics with suppliers, importers, transportation companies and warehouse operations
Negotiate contract pricing with freight forwarders and other service providers
Ensure the accuracy of freight invoices, brokerage charges and import duty billings
Responsible for developing a plan to achieve sales target and working with Sales Team to ensure results

Requirements

Who You Are
10+ years of experience in international logistics including import, export, and trade compliance for shipments between non-US countries
Ability to interact and communicate across multiple audiences, verbally and in writing
Advanced logistics and international multi-mode transportation experience; international trade, import/export, customs and compliance and FDA knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, international business, trade/logistics/business management or similar preferred but not required
High proficiency in G-suite and MS Excel
Ability to thrive in a start-up environment
Problem-solving, collaborative attitude with a bias for action

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position.

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

The range listed is just one component of Obran’s total compensation package for employees/members.

Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Cooperative Membership, an open Paid Time Off policy

Salary Range Transparency

$80,000
– $120,000 USD per year plus performance bonuses based on experience
