This Manager, Workforce Optimization position is a senior role in our Strategy Practice.

North Highland is deliberately and thoughtfully growing our Strategy Practice.

To do so, we are seeking amazing candidates that possess dynamic skill sets and experiences and can effectively contribute to our growth.

We need candidates with world-class strategy consulting skills and deep transformation expertise to serve as a trusted advisor to our key clients.

You should be a natural collaborator with deep experience partnering with multidisciplinary teams and -importantly
– you should be as keenly interested in practice building as you are in delivering impactful work for clients.

We’ll ask you to do both.

We seek candidates with a heavy focus on Workforce Transformation, e.g., areas including Workforce Strategy, Workforce Optimization and Enablement, Operating Model and Organizational Design, Culture, Talent Management, Employee Experience and Engagement, HR Transformation, Workforce and Business Process Outsourcing and Insourcing, but she/he will also be involved, as needed, in complex engagements that address Customer and Operational challenges.

Exciting work you will do:

 

  • Ownership and leadership of client relationships and multi-disciplinary engagements
  • Coaching and development of junior team members
  • Co-selling with North Highland executives
  • Expansion of existing business
  • Collaboration with your fellow leadership team to drive practice and firm growth

What you will need:

  • 5-7 years of previous work experience at a leading consultancy, advisory, and/or top strategy firm
  • A track record of leading successful engagements, including workforce strategy, workforce optimization and enablement, operating model and organizational design, culture, talent management, employee experience and engagement, HR transformation, workforce and business process outsourcing
  • An ability to authentically establish credibility, build consensus, and activate collaboration with clients and teammates.
  • Generosity in sharing experiences, expertise, and insights to help others develop and grow.
  • Proposal development experience and a proven ability to effectively sell business solutions to clients.
  • Experience developing high-performing teams in ways proven to drive desired business impact.
  • Experience in developing a business case and/or a case for change
  • A proven upward and fast-moving career trajectory
  • Graduate degree (Master’s or Doctoral) and/or MBA combined with a bachelors degree from an accredited college/university.

    Advanced (post-undergraduate) degrees are valuable but not essential.

    Greater emphasis will be placed on the quality and relevance of previous work experience from a leading consultancy, advisory, and/or top strategy firm.

  • Strategic agility and intellectual curiosity,
  • Flexibility and creative thinking,
  • Confidence and skill with storytelling techniques,
  • Experience with strategic finance & value-based analysis & argumentation,
  • Experience with the design, execution, and application of quantitative and qualitative research studies,
  • Proficiency in leveraging primary and secondary research in problem solving and solution development,
  • Experience with developing the skill and proficiency of junior Strategy Practice associates, and
  • An ability to consistently deliver outstanding results.
