Manager, Sales Development

We see one out of every two card swipes across the US, covering $3.1T in purchases.

This puts us in a unique position, to help marketers predict consumer shopping behavior based on actual purchase data.

We then use that data to reach bank consumers with offers they will love and that drive measurable, incremental purchases for our advertisers.

The Role

The Manager, Sales Development is responsible for driving the results for the Sales Development Representative team through recruiting, organizing, coordinating, measuring, training, coaching, problem solving, and leading.

The Manager will partner with the leadership team to execute company and department strategies and upholds standards to ensure that sales goals are met or exceeded.

This role requires a self-starting, proactive, results-oriented individual who is ready to begin their career as a sales leadership professional. 

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Revenue & Strategy Operations you are responsible for leading and coaching our Sales Development Representatives to deliver initial meetings and qualified leads for our Enterprise and Mid-Market sales teams
  • Own both inbound and outbound sales motions and processes
  • Participate in the recruiting process by identifying potential candidates, interviewing and making hiring recommendations to leadership
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive training sessions for existing and new SDR team members, weekly sessions or ad hoc
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales leadership, marketing, and revenue operations to meet the needs of each stakeholder group
  • Provide hands-on coaching and training to SDRs including, but not limited to: daily workflow, prospecting, messaging development, and follow up
  • Routinely monitor outbound prospecting activity, create formalized feedback and provide to SDRs to improve performance on an ongoing basis
  • Resolve routine problems and act as first point of escalation for SDRs.

    Elevate issues or questions to Manager, as necessary

  • Develop a thorough A/B testing infrastructure, monitor KPIs, and hold reps accountable to metrics
  • Identify patterns that need to be addressed and communicate concerns to Manager
  • Provide input to leadership for SDR quarterly performance reviews
  • Lead SDR team huddles, meetings, and training sessions
  • Identify ways to streamline workflow, improve process or procedures, and present plans to Manager for input and approval
  • Create reports and analyze performance data and make recommendations to management to help guide the strategic direction of the team

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven track record of performance (quota attainment)
  • Ability to communicate convincingly and concisely with both peers and leaders
  • Solid understanding of the SalesLoft platform, Salesforce, and other relevant prospecting tools (Zoominfo, Winmo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Strong sense of urgency – we move fast around here and have ambitious plans for the future!
  • Extremely well organized and able to juggle various tasks with poise and make sure our content has the appropriate level of polish
