JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Oncology Services will provide ongoing administrative coordination and management of the outpatient services and activities for Sinai Hospital’s Alvin & Louis Lapidus Cancer Institute, comprised of the Infusion Center, Lab, Medical Oncology Physician Practice Operations and liaison to scheduling, registration and pharmacy services.
The Oncology Manager will work with the Oncology service line leadership team, physicians, and associates to develop and implement policies and procedures regarding patient care and flow in a manner, which is consistent with the Cancer Center’s mission and SPIRIT values.
Assure maintenance and seek improvement of daily operations, including associate management, business and clinical functions, facility maintenance, patient relations and physician business.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in Medical Oncology to enhance the cancer care provided to patients at the Alvin & Louis Lapidus Cancer Institute.
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field.
Bachelor’s in Nursing required.
Master’s in Healthcare Administration preferred
5 years experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in outpatient oncology operations and prior management experience
Active Maryland Registered Nurse License (RN)
American Heart Association CPR Certification (BLS)
OCN cert to be obtained upon eligibility for exam
