GEICO's Talent Recruiting and Leadership Development Department is seeking a driven and highly analytical leader to join our team!
As a Manager of Selection Systems, you will develop hiring processes that are used to evaluate more than 100,000 job applicants every year.
You’ll not only develop and validate selection tools, but you'll also ensure effective execution by partnering with regional management from across the country to effectively administer our hiring process.
In this role you will:
Lead a team of talented I/O psychologists
Work with leadership to help drive organizational strategy
Design, develop, and implement company-wide employee selection tools for entry-level (sales, service, and claims) and leadership development positions
Selection tools include interviews, assessments (personality, bio-data, critical thinking, computer skills, etc.) and work samples
Analyzing selection process results and reporting on those results to management, at both a corporate and regional level
Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of selection, and provide professional support and guidance to internal customers regarding selection issues
Training and consulting human resource managers and hiring teams within 17 regional call centers on employment law issues, effective interviewing techniques and use of selection tools
Qualifications:
Preferred:
5+ years’ experience working directly in an applied setting designing, implementing, and/or validating employee selection tools
Proficiency with SPSS and/or SAS and excel
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Required:
Graduate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field
3+ years’ experience leading/managing a team
May require 10-15% travel to our regional offices
Willingness to work in a hybrid (remote / in-office) work environment.
Associates on this team are currently working remotely, but will transition to a hybrid environment in the future.
