Department Summary Sling TV provides an over-the-top (OTT) live TV streaming service on TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other streaming devices.
Distributed across a variety of strategic device partners, including Roku, Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, LG, Microsoft, and Tivo, Sling TV offers two primary domestic streaming services that collectively include more than 100 channels of top content.
Featured programmers include Disney/ESPN, Fox, NBC, AMC, A&E, EPIX, NBA TV, NHL Networks, Pac-12 Networks, Hallmark, ViacomCBS, and more.
Job Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for a Manager of Product Management to lead the product team responsible for driving the success of Sling TV applications on all of our supported platforms across web, mobile, and connected TV devices.
You will collaborate closely with other product teams including the viewer engagement, partnership, and video player teams to deliver an outstanding experience for our viewers on each platform.
You will also work with the Partner Management team to support our strategic relationships with distribution platforms and evaluate expansion to new platforms in order to drive overall Sling growth and business outcomes.
You will possess deep product knowledge and eye for the holistic user experience on the various partner platforms.
The ideal candidate will also require strong external communications and relationship management skills to work with counterparts at partners.
The role is based in Sling TV’s Denver-area HQ office.
Responsibilities
Own the execution and excellence of your products
– be scrappy, solve problems, and take an entrepreneurial approach to deliver against business outcomes and create a delightful viewer experience
Provide leadership to your product management team and their cross-functional teams, consistently articulating product strategy, sharing learnings both good and bad, making difficult decisions and being accountable for them, prioritizing ruthlessly, representing the team throughout organization, and nurturing strong collaborative relationships within the teams
Recruit, lead, and develop a team of strong and capable product managers
Become an acknowledged expert in the organization about the goals, operating system features and roadmap of partner platforms
Conduct user tests, research, and experiments to capture and understand real users’ motivations, goals, and pain points
Define, monitor, and analyze product metrics, and feed learnings back into the product development process
Evangelize modern product management best practices and culture and continuously identify opportunities to improve our product development processes
Skills, Experience and Requirements Requirements
6+ years of product management experience with history of shipping high scale consumer digital products, ideally native apps across mobile, streaming devices, and smart TVs
2+ years directly managing a team of product managers
Strong track record of individual contributor product management work
Passion for collaborating, iterating, and testing with Product Design and Engineering to discover solutions that exceed user expectations and drive business results
Obsession with customers and experience personally conducting and coaching team members on user research, testing, and optimization
High comfort level in analytics and generating customer insights from data trends
Demonstrated ability to drive change in processes and best practices that are most conducive to productivity, transparency, and coordination
Can communicate clearly and effectively

– across all functions and levels of the org as well as externally with partners
Ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver on our goals
Passionate about the digital video, streaming, and TV industries
Prior experience managing teams and initiatives spanning multiple offices and geographies

Salary Range
Compensation: $140,000.00/Year
– $190,000.00/Year
